The young Scots were humbled 6-0 in a friendly at Bramall Lane but have since regrouped ahead of a European Championship qualifier against the Dutch.
Billy Stark's side for their campaign off to a winning start against Luxembourg and have been emboldened further by reliving the Scots' unexpected win over the Netherlands during their European qualifying campaign in 2011. They will play at the venue of that win, Nijmegen, in tonight's tie.
"The manager has been drumming into us not to forget when we played against them home and away," said Armstrong, part of the squad which drew with the Dutch at home in that campaign. "We are aware of what they are capable of."
Kevin McHattie is also in the squad and he will play without fear despite the discomfort an injury would cause Hearts. "If there's a tackle to be won, you've got to go and win it," said the full-back.
