The abject, feeble manner of their 5-1 capitulation at the hands of Hearts served only to further alienate an already disgruntled support, and at a time when season ticket sales are needed to fund a summer recasting of the team. Fenlon will likely be seeking in excess of 10 players ahead of next term to replace those who let him – and the fans – down so badly on Saturday. The Easter Road side lined up with five loan players in their XI, with a sixth coming off the bench, while goalkeeper Mark Brown and top scorer Garry O'Connor are also out of contract.
