St Mirren are in the best shape they've been, both on and off the park, for quite some time and still the chairman can't find someone to take the club off his hands.
Three years have passed since Gilmour and a group of fellow directors put their shares together to offer interested parties a controlling interest in the club, believing at the time it would not take long to secure a sale. "We expect a significant amount of interest in this controlling block of shares," said Gilmour confidently at the launch back in September 2009. He was right in that respect as there has been interest from a number of parties in the intervening period but still the "for sale" sign remains in place.
