Aberdeen kicked off their pre-season campaign with a comfortable 3-0 win against Buckie Thistle at Victoria Park.

Nicky Low opened the scoring in the 37th minute, second-half substitute Josh Magennis scored within minutes of coming on and Niall McGinn added the gloss to proceedings in the closing stages.

Partick made light work of Third Division Annan Athletic tonight, triumphing 5-1 at Galabank.

Christie Elliott and Jordan McMillan put Thistle two goals to the good in the opening five minutes and Kris Doolan added a third midway through the half before the hosts pulled one back on the stroke of half-time through Matty Flynn.

The visitors, however, put the game to bed with two goals in the second half.

Elsewhere, Inverness Caley Thistle ran out 3-0 winners at Forres Mechanics.
