Callum Morris, the Dunfermline defender, is being watched by Dundee United, Aberdeen and Partick Thistle after turning down a new contract at East End Park.

The former Newcastle United trainee drew criticism from manager Jim Jefferies for his refusal to agree fresh terms, despite the offer of a clause that would allow the player to leave should Dunfermline fail to win promotion via the play-offs this season.

The 24-year-old has caught the eye with some impressive displays since signing in August 2012 and the news he has rejected a deal is sure tospark further interest. It is understood United, who have Gavin Gunning out of contract at the end of the season, are keen on Morris, while Thistle made a move for him last summer and Aberdeen have also been linked with the player.
