Dunfermline Athletic's miserable summer continued as they tumbled out of the Ramsdens Cup at the first hurdle, 3-2 at the hands of Forfar Athletic.
Gavin Swankie's 66th-minute strike proved to be the winner after Dunfermline, who saw Dundee given Rangers' SPL berth, toiled to get to grips with the Irn-Bru Second Division side.

Graeme Bell scored the only goal with a superb long-distance strike to give Annan Athletic a surprise 1-0 win over Livingston, while East Stirlingshire also raised eyebrows with a 3-1 win at home to Ayr United, Michael Herd scoring a double.
Montrose trailed early to Inverurie Loco Works but came back to win 4-2, and Morton saw off Albion Rovers 2-0 with second-half goals from Tony Wallace and David O'Brien before Tony Stevenson was red-carded for Rovers.
Queen of the South beat Dumbarton 1-0 through Nicky Clark's header, while Brown Ferguson struck late to give Stenhousemuir a 2-1 win at Stranraer.
East Fife won 2-1 at Peterhead through a Scott McBride penalty and a Collin Samuel strike.
Cowdenbeath beat Alloa Athletic 3-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw, and Queen's Park edged Berwick Rangers 3-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
