Rogic, who has only played 13 times for Neil Lennon's side since joining from Central Coast Mariners in January, struggled to establish himself under previous Australia manager, Holger Osieck. And if he is to secure a spot in the squad for Brazil he will now have to prove his worth to new manager, Ange Postecoglou.
"When you're an established player you've got a good chance of getting into the first team," said Vidmar, "but Tom's at an age where he should be developing.
"Is it the right environment where he can develop? I don't know. It's up to Ange to see if he's going to throw him in there."
