Tom Rogic, the Celtic midfielder, has been named in Australia's 27-man travelling party for the World Cup in Brazil despite persistent doubts over his fitness.

The 21-year-old sat out the Socceroos 1-1 draw with South Africa on Monday due to a groin injury which has troubled him throughout the second half of the season.

Sent out on loan to Melbourne Victory in January, Rogic was only able to make eight appearances for the A-League outfit. Nevertheless, manager Ange Postecoglu has kept faith with the playmaker.

Former Hearts defender Ryan McGowan and ex-Rangers man Matt McKay are also in the squad.
