ROSS COUNTY have finalised contracts for Brian McLean, the former Dundee United defender, and midfielder Graham Carey who was released by St Mirren in the summer.

Derek Adams, the Ross County manager whose side visit champions Celtic for their SPFL Premiership opener on Saturday evening, said: "We still have maybe one more signing to make but Brian and Graham have come in and they have good SPL experience. They did exceptionally well with St Mirren and Dundee United last season and they played a lot of games.

"Brian is an experienced centre-half, comfortable on the ball and is a very good defender. Graham can play on the left-hand side of midfield and get forward, create chances and score goals. He is very good at set-plays and a very good crosser of the ball and he can be an asset."
