Scottish Communities League Cup round-up

Queen's Park producing the surprise of the round in the League Cup with a 3-2 extra-time win over Airdrie.

Montrose matched Queen's Park in claiming a first division scalp, goals from Martin Boyle and Paul Watson sinking the Amateurs who replied through Marc McKenzie.

Raith Rovers came from behind to edge out Berwick Rangers 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller at Stark's Park. There were also seven goals at Palmerston Park and Somerset Park but it was more comfortable for Queen of the South and Ayr United who won 5-2 and 6-1 respectively against Alloa and Clyde.
