Scottish Second Division

Queen of the South took advantage of a late postponement involving their closest rivals to stretch their lead at the top to 17 points with a 3-0 win over Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill.

Tony Stevenson missed a penalty for the hosts before Nicky Clark put Queens in front. Albion goalkeeper Ryan Scully saved a Ryan McGuffie penalty after the interval but Derek Lyle and Derek Young netted.

Second-placed Alloa Athletic's match at Arbroath was called off due to a waterlogged pitch shortly before kick-off, after passing a morning inspection.
