Scougall a wanted man as Clough makes his move

Nigel Clough, the Sheffield United manager, has confirmed his interest in Livingston playmaker Stefan Scougall.

The English League One side had been linked with a move for the 21-year-old that could land Livingston up to £400,000. United, though, could face competition to land Scougall from league rivals Peterborough after they renewed their interest in the player six months after a £150,000 transfer collapsed at the last minute.

Scougall, who was also on Wolves' radar last summer, missed Livingston's weekend defeat by Morton with a hamstring injury.

"We've made an enquiry for Stefan, we're looking at a permanent deal. We'll see what happens," said Clough.
