SIMON RAMSDEN has advertised his availability for next season despite being involved at the centre of the battle to retain Motherwell's SPFL Premiership status.

The Fir Park defender played in last weekend's crucial 3-1 win over Kilmarnock, but has been named on PFA Scotland's list of players looking for new clubs along with his team-mates Iain Vigurs and Stuart Carswell.

Vigurs, 27, formerly of Ross County and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, has not played under the Motherwell manager Ian Baraclough after being sidelined by a back injury on the day the Englishman was appointed in December.

Carswell, meanwhile, has only made two substitute appearances since Baraclough strengthened his squad in January, but the 21-year-old midfielder has played a total of 98 first-team games for the club.

Ramsden, 33, had dropped out of the side through suspension six weeks ago, but he made an impressive return in that victory over Kilmarnock and is likely to remain involved as the Lanarkshire club attempt to haul themselves out of 11th spot in the table and the Play-Offs.

Other Fir Park players whose contracts are due to expire this summer include Zaine Francis-Angol, Paul Lawson, John Sutton, Josh Law, Scott McDonald, Adam Cummins and Fraser Kerr while Lee Erwin is in advanced talks over a new deal.
