Simon says relax after finding a new home

Simon Mensing will spend tonight trying to inflict an unexpected cup exit on Celtic just a fortnight after fearing that he might not find a way back into football.

Raith Rovers will travel to Parkhead for the third round of the Scottish Communities League Cup and will be able to lean on the experience of Mensing.

The former Hamilton Academical and St Johnstone midfielder had been out of contract since calling time on a spell at New Douglas Park in favour of a move back to England. His determination to return south of the border led Mensing to turn down a lucrative offer from Azerbaijani club Simurq Pesekar but seemed to founder after a proposed move to Stevenage collapsed.
