EASTER seemed as appropriate a time as any for Celtic to confirm their rebirth under Neil Lennon.

The club secured their first SPL title in four seasons yesterday, marking their rise as surely the dominant force in Scottish football for the foreseeable future.

The emphatic victory that sealed the championship, greeted rapturously by the 13,000-odd Celtic fans who had taken over Rugby Park, was achieved in a deceptively simple manner when it arrived, brought about by the same rush of goals that carried Rangers to the title here last year.
