The 23-year-old has been reunited with Steve Bruce at the KC Stadium after making his debut at Birmingham City under the former Manchester United defender.
The Nigerian moves to the English Championship club as a free agent after refusing to allow his contract to transfer to the Rangers newco.
Kevin Kyle has revealed he would be interested in joining Rangers. The 31-year-old, currently on trial at StJohnstone after being released by Hearts at the end of the season, said: "The physio I am working with knows a few people in in football and I asked him if he could get an agent pal to speak to Rangers for me. I wouldn't cost the earth and, at the same time, Ally McCoist would know what he is getting. I believe I would certainly be more than capable of doing a job for them and it might not be as stressful on my body playing in the third division.
"I've heard nothing back, but it's something I might pursue if nothing happens at St Johnstone."
The former Sunderland striker's last season with Hearts was wrecked by a persistent hip problem but he hopes to play for St Johnstone against Bristol City on Saturday. Kyle's former Hearts team-mates, Ian Black and Craig Beattie, have been training with Rangers this week.
