Spain manager tipped new Inverness goalkeeper for top

ANTONIO REGUERO, Inverness Caledonian Thistle's new goalkeeper, was once tipped by Vicente del Bosque to shine on the kind of glittering stage Spain will grace tomorrow night.

Reguero, 29, was a Real Madrid player when the Spain manager was in charge at the Bernabeu. Del Bosque earmarked him as a future club No.1 and internationalist until injury shattered his progress. Reguero, who has played for a number of Spanish second division sides more recently, said: "I was lucky enough to have nine years at Real Madrid, it was a fantastic time in my life.
