Peterhead dominated the first half but could not find a way past Derek Gaston.

Ross McGeachie scrambled an early goal for Stirling after Lewis Coult's header had struck the post.

Phil Johnston should have added a second but shot wide but Airdrie drew level through Bryan Prunty's 58th-minute penalty and, a minute later, Jim Lister made it 2-1.
