SPFL: League 2

Jim McInally's Peterhead were not at their best but enjoyed a precious 1-0 win over Queen's Park, with new manager Gus MacPherson making a respectable if losing start.

The home side scored the only goal on 35 minutes through Scott Ross.

Clyde returned to second place after an unconvincing 1-0 win over East Stirling, with Kieran MacDonald htting a well-worked 54th-minute winner.

The Cumbernauld-based side climbed above Annan Athletic who slipped to a 1-1 draw at Stirling Albion.

Annan's Scott Davidson scored on 14 minutes but in the closing stages Jordan White headed a leveller.

Colin Cameron continued his fine start as player-manager of Berwick Rangers with a 3-0 win at Albion Rovers.

Paul Currie scored after four minutes and Lee Currie doubled that and netted Berwick's third from the penalty spot on 65 minutes.

Caretaker managers David Niven and Paul Kaczan could not save Elgin City from a 3-2 defeat to Montrose.

Graham Webster and Scott Johnston gave Montrose a two-goal lead. Jamie Masson pulled one back and Elgin equalised through Shane Sutherland but Paul Watson snatched a 77th-minute winner.
