St Mirren Park was more like a wind tunnel than a state-of-the-art football stadium, and there was plenty of that peculiarly Scottish meteorological phenomenon called horizontal rain.
But Celtic weathered the storm for the first hour and produced a whirlwind last 20 minutes to beat the elements as well as the opposition. It moved the Parkhead club's winning SPL run on to a dozen games and means that since the 4-0 defeat at this venue in March 2010 which did for Tony Mowbray, Celtic have won all six of their meetings with the Paisley side while scoring 15 goals and conceding none.
