Steve Simonsen starts for Rangers after Cammy Bell is ruled out

Goalkeeper Steve Simonsen will make his second appearance for Rangers in the William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final against Dundee United after Cammy Bell was ruled out with concussion following a training-ground knock.

Manager Ally McCoist said Lee Wallace (hip flexor) "would need a miracle" to make the game, while David Templeton (groin), Andy Little (thigh) and Lewis Macleod (illness) are definitely out.

McCoist reported one or two players had aches and pains but should be okay, while Nicky Law, Ian Black, Jon Daly and Nicky Clark came through Sunday's Ramsdens Cup final unscathed despite pre-match injury concerns.

Provisional squad: Simonsen, Foster, Smith, Faure, McCulloch, Mohsni, Law, Peralta, Black, Crawford, Aird, Daly, Murdoch, Clark, Shiels, Cribari, Gallagher, Telfer, Hegarty, Gallacher.
