ALAN STUBBS is adamant his Hibernian side can belie their SPFL Championship status and 112 years of history by lifting the William Hill Scottish Cup this season.
The club's infamous drought in this competition stretches back to 1902, with the capital club tasting defeat in 11 finals since they last lifted the trophy - more near misses than any side outwith the Old Firm.
"We enter thinking we can win it," he said. "If you don't start with the aim to reach the final at Hampden then there is no point being in it.
"It will be a challenge and there are a lot of teams with that target. But we have played Premiership teams already and gave it a good go."
