Tade tells Stevenson he is better off in Scotland

GREGORY TADE, the former St Johnstone forward, says Ryan Stevenson has dodged "appalling" impatience from supporters and an invasive media culture by turning down a move to CFR Cluj.

The Romanian top-flight side strongly criticised the 29-year-old for allegedly backing out of a move from Hearts after a verbal agreement, describing the playmaker's behaviour as "strange".

Tade joined Cluj from the Perth side last summer. "Romania is not the easiest place to play football, to be honest," he said.

"[The media] attack the manager, the players and everyone else constantly, which can make life very difficult."
