Elgin City remain second in the Third Division, but would have gone top had they not been held to a 2-2 draw by Annan Athletic at Borough Briggs.
Jamie Duff headed the hosts into a 30th minute lead. The visitors' David Hopkirk equalised four minutes later.
Stuart Leslie crossed for Craig Gunn to restore Elgin's advantage in the 38th minute but Hopkirk struck again seconds after half-time.
