Two early goals set Montrose on their way to a comfortable 2-0 win over Peterhead at Links Park, a result which lifted the hosts to fourth place.
It took only four minutes for Montrose to score as Garry Wood beat a sluggish Peterhead defence to slip the ball past Graeme Smith.Wood fed Terry Masson to double Montrose's advantage.
Rory McAllister's second-half introduction gave Peterhead more bite and on 69 minutes they went close as Ryan Strachan's powerful effort hit the Montrose upright.

Clyde emerged 3-1 winners over Annan Athletic at Galabank with both sides ending the match with ten men.
Bryan Gilfillan headed Clyde ahead on 12 minutes. Four minutes later David Marsh put the visitors two goals in front.
Soon after, Clyde's Marsh got a second yellow card. Annan's Steve Swinglehurst followed in the 29th minute.
Just after the interval Gilfillan added Clyde's third. Annan cut their arrears on 79 minutes with a Scott Chaplain penalty after Rikki Lanie handled in the area.
