Kevin Thomson will be confirmed as Dundee's latest signing today having agreed a contract with the Dens Park club.

The midfielder was released by Hibernian earlier this week as a result of the Edinburgh club's relegation from the top flight and a fractured relationship with manager Terry Butcher.

The 29-year-old will return to the SPFL Premiership next season as a Dundee player, though, with a deal to sign goalkeeper Scott Bain from Alloa Athletic also expected to be confirmed.

The pair will join former Falkirk forward Phil Roberts and Cowdenbeath striker Greg Stewart in finalised moves to Dens Park for the new campaign.
