East Stirlingshire have appointed their former player Craig Tully as head coach following a series of interviews at the weekend.

Tully will complete the formalities today and will replace John Coughlin who is leaving after three years in charge following Saturday's game with Montrose.

Tully saw off competition from Kevin McGoldrick, the former Stenhousemuir assistant manager, and Motherwell coach Ricky Waddell to clinch the job from an original field of over 20 applicants.

"We are delighted to bring in Craig as he knows our club and was a popular figure when he was here," said Tony Ford, the club chairman.
