Jos Hooiveld, the former Celtic defender, could be set to leave Southampton in the summer.

The Dutchman, brought to Glasgow for £2m from AIK Stockholm by Tony Mowbray in January 2010, has lost his place at St Mary's following the signing of Dejan Lovren from Lyon in last summer.

Hooiveld said: "I am hugely disappointed. I considered leaving in January but the manager [Mauricio Pochettino] told me it wasn't possible. I will sit down with him to discuss it once more during the summer."
