PLAY-OFFS are inherently nervous, unsettling occasions but there will be an additional layer of discomfort for Darren Young over the next few days.

Having been at Dunfermline Athletic during a time of financial hardship, the idea of exploiting their current problems as an Alloa Athletic player almost feels like exploitation.

"This time round people have lost their jobs and the club have been deducted points; the situation is horrible. The worst thing is that the players are being punished for things that have happened off the park. The boys were having a good season and were doing themselves justice but that has all been taken away through no fault of their own. They will be basically fighting for their lives over the two legs. It is not nice, but it will drive them on I am sure."
