The Easter Road outfit failed to hit the heights they have reached in their recent run of six straight away wins but still looked set to earn a goalless draw against Peter Houston's side on Saturday. However, David McCracken's injury-time strike made it a first league defeat in nine for the capital side and was a huge set back to their hopes of chipping away at the significant gap to Rangers and Hearts above them. Stubbs has warned his players their display was just not good enough and has told them they must produce a response at home to the Wasps on Saturday. He said: "We have been on a decent run and the most important thing now is that they react in the right way from Saturday's disappointment and take it out on Alloa next week at home. "They better respond, it's as simple as that. "The lads have been great, they've done really well. But they have been reminded that if they drop below the necessary standards that we set then they run the risk of results like Saturday's. "They have to learn and they have to learn very quickly, and if they don't they know what will happen. "Yes, they've been told it was unacceptable but they've been told we move on very quickly; let's put it to bed and move on to the next game against Alloa." McCracken's winner stemmed from a long free-kick into the Hibernian box after Craig Sibbald was fouled by Scott Allan and Stubbs has also reminded his players to stay on the right side of the referee at all times. He added: "First and foremost, when you are at that stage of the game you have to be disciplined as a player and as a team. "To give away silly free-kicks and invite pressure on yourself at that stage is not what I want from the team and is not what is expected, and they've been told that. "The worst-case scenario should have been for us to draw the game 0-0. "Yes, okay, we've not played well but we would have taken something from the game, and that wasn't the case."
