Paula Creamer, the former US Women’s Open champion, and Brittany Lang have completed Team USA’s line up for next month’s Solheim Cup match with Europe in Germany after earning the two wild cards from captain, Juli Inkster.

Creamer brings plenty of experience to the side and has been part of every US team since she made her debut in the biennial event back in 2005. Lang will be making her fourth Solheim Cup appearance.

The US have lost the last two meetings between the sides for the first time in the event’s history and only three members of Inkster’s line up have won on the LPGA Tour this season

"They (Creamer and Lang) add a lot to the team, not just as far as golf, but chemistry and experience," Inkster said. "They are very competitive players. Paula has been in a little bit of a funk, but I expect her to be out of it and ready to go. Brittany has been playing really good. I'm looking forward to it, and I think the team is really stoked to get over there and turn the tide a little bit. We are going there as underdogs, but we are going to go in there and fight for everything."

Carin Koch, the European captain, was set to unveil her four wild cards this morning with Scotland’s Catriona Matthew, a veteran of seven Solheim Cup campaigns, in the mix for a call up.
