Ryder Cup star Victor Dubuisson hopes to continue his recent upturn in form at the Czech Masters in order to boost his Race to Dubai rankings.
After finishing fourth in his first appearance of 2015 in Abu Dhabi, the Frenchman struggled in the following five months and it was not until his 20th place at the BMW International Open at the end of June that things started to turn around.
Good performances followed at the French and Scottish Opens and an 18th place at the US PGA a fortnight ago has given him renewed optimism for the remainder of the season.
"This year has not been as good as it was last year for me," said Dubuisson, a member of the victorious European team at Gleneagles almost a year ago.
"It's not been a great season, so I really hope to do well this week and try to get my Race to Dubai ranking up.
"The win for Jamie (Donaldson) here last year got him into the Ryder Cup team, so it was great experience for him."
Englishman James Morrison's form has been good since May, starting with his victory in the Open de Espana, and he is looking forward to his return to the Albatross Golf Resort near Prague after falling away at the weekend last year to finish joint 13th.
"Even before I looked at my schedule I knew I was going to come back here and play," he told europeantour.com.
"It is always nice to come back to an event where you have good memories and it is a great place to play golf.
"I played really well all week last year. I made double bogey at the 17th on Saturday, which dropped me back from seventh or eighth to 13th in the end, but it was a great week and the golf course suits my eye."
Fellow Englishman Eddie Pepperell finished fifth 12 months ago, but having just competed in his first major championship he returns to Europe with even greater confidence, despite missing the cut at Whistling Straits.
"Although I didn't play as well as I would've liked, or score as well, it was enjoyable being out there in that sort of atmosphere," he said.
"I hadn't experienced much of that before, but I'm glad to be back in Europe now and I'm looking forward to this event and then the run-up to the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and to Woburn for the British Masters supported by Sky Sports, and then lastly to the final four."
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
