US golfer Brandt Snedeker will have another chance to ‘T off’ once this year’s Open Championship ends, as Scotland’s favourite pint offer to finish his trip in style.

Brandt revealed that he had developed a taste for Tennent’s Lager during the Muirfield Open in 2013, after which he was sent many goodies from Wellpark brewery.

The Herald:

Now, to welcome him back to Scotland, the lager brand has offered to mash-up his home town of Nashville with Glasgow by organising a party at the Govan based namesake of the legendary Tennessee venue, the Grand Ole Opry.

Robert Hamilton, Club President of the Grand Ole Opry said: “We’re used to hosting famous faces at the Grand Ole Opry so we’re more than happy to help throw Brandt a party if he goes all the way at the Open.

"We’re obviously big fans of the Nashville venue so would love the opportunity to see how we compare. Even if Brandt doesn’t win this weekend, he can swing by any time for a dance and a pint of Tennent’s Lager.”
