Three weeks after his father, Graeme, lost his battle with cancer, the 19-year-old from Craigielaw secured an emotional triumph with a 9 and 7 defeat of Bearsden's Richard Docherty in the 36-hole final to record the biggest margin of victory in the SGU's flagship event since Colin Montgomerie demolished Alasdair Watt 9 and 8 at Nairn 25 years ago.
