Scots blowing hot in the cold of the Swiss Alps

Paul Lawrie continues to warm to the challenge of winning a third title this season as snow began falling on the Alps during the second round in Crans-Montana, writes Bernie McGuire.

Lawrie recorded seven birdies in a five-under-par 66 to move to seven under par, two strokes behind the Frenchman Julien Quesne.

Aside from joining South African Branden Grace as a three-time winner this year, the Aberdonian also is looking to repeat the effort last year of Thomas Bjorn, who won the Qatar Masters, the Johnnie Walker Classic and the European Masters.
