Tiger tamer or jailbird? Beem plays by book

Remember him? He was the American who emerged from obscurity to pip Tiger Woods to the US PGA Championship title at Hazeltine 10 years ago.

From mobile phone salesman to major winner; it was quite a story. The tales that have followed in the eventful book of Beem may not have made for as uplifting reading, but the 41-year-old is still clinging to the hope that he can pen a final, rousing chapter.
