Young Scot on upward trajectory does not have her head in the clouds

It took her a while to find her feet in the professional ranks but Carly Booth is certainly making impressive strides now.

The 19-year-old's play-off victory in the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open on Sunday underlined the Perthshire youngster's ability, competitive instinct and improving mental fortitude.

These attributes were all highlighted at the fourth extra hole of a three-way shoot-out with Germans Anja Monke and Caroline Masson. Booth and her title rivals were close, having birdied the par-5 18th on three occasions. "Someone's going to have to eagle to win this," said Booth.
