SCOTTISH FOOTBALL IN CRISIS: Changing the rules would revive interest

When the number of points awarded for a win in the Premier League changed from two to three in season 1994/95 it was an seismic event for Scottish football.

It is fair to say the rulers of the game have been averse to change and keen to promote the status quo over the years. Chances are, then, that radical developments to improve the quality of a product which is deteriorating with every passing year will be resisted.
