England can go the distance at London Games, says Holmes

Kelly Holmes, the double Olympic champion, believes Hannah England can follow in her footsteps and defy an untimely injury to excel at the London Games.

England, a surprise silver medallist in the World Championships last year, was last in the 1500 metres at the Aviva London Grand Prix on Friday, her first race since May 27.

The 25-year-old suffered a spiked Achilles while winning her previous race in the Netherlands, forcing a lengthy recovery process which included five days in hospital and being banned from standing for more than three minutes at a time for a period of two weeks.
