KATIE Archibald will be gunning for victory at the 2015 British National Time Trial Championships in Lincolnshire this Thursday.

The Scot took silver behind Emma Pooley in 2014 but is among the favourites for the top step of the podium this time around.

Archibald, 21, is fresh from wins in the Matrix Fitness Grand Prix Series and Jupiter London Nocturne. She is currently racing in the 2015 Aviva Women's Tour which draws to a close today.

The reigning double European track champion from Milngavie was part of the Pearl Izumi Sports Tours International trio, alongside Anna Turvey and Ciara Horne, which took the women's title at the RTTC Team Time Trial Championship last month.

Turvey, who represented Team Scotland at Glasgow 2014, will also race on Thursday as will Clydebank's Lucy Coldwell, who has claimed top 10 finishes the past two years running.

The 2015 British National Road Race Championships follow a week today with a clutch of Scottish riders among the line-up for the men and women's races including Mark Stewart and Charline Joiner.

Eileen Roe, who suffered a broken knuckle in a crash in Belgium last weekend, will make a decision in the coming days whether to compete next Sunday or instead concentrate her efforts on defending her British national criterium title at the end of July.
