Steph Twell is to give up her status as a full-time athlete next season as she makes her comeback from long-term injury.
The 23-year-old, who missed the Olympics following ankle surgery, was surprisingly stripped of her financial Lottery support last week by UK Athletics despite her potential to rebound and contend for a medal at Rio 2016, but the Commonwealth 1500 metres medallist said she would have made the move even if her funding was still in place.
