The Rocks face Manchester Giants tomorrow in their first game since the Stirling-born forward quit the club to chase a lucrative move overseas.
Davis admits Achara's exit is a huge blow to his team's trophy hopes, but he will look for others to make their mark. "It's a huge loss for our team as it would be any team in the league," said the American. "[Achara] was able to bring so many different things to the table, but at the same time, that is done, so we have to keep improving within our group."
After a lay-off of a fortnight, Davis will bid to lead his team to a second win over Manchester this season. He said of the BBL newcomers, who are ninth in the table: "They are a very dangerous team with the experience and talent level they have. I'm sure they feel things have not always gone to plan for them, but when they are clicking, that is when you have to be concerned."
* Rose Anderson, the Edinburgh-born Great Britain internationalist, has joined French club Reze for the rest of the season. The guard, who played at the Olympics, spent last term with UWIC Cardiff.
