JONNY BUNYAN claims Glasgow Rocks will not be thrown off course by their massive mid-season break.

After moving up to fifth place in the BBL by seeing off London Lions on Wednesday to make it four wins in a row, the surging Scots will not play again until March 15 due to a scheduling quirk.

But Bunyan - one of the key figures in the Rocks dramatic recent improvement - insists they can't afford to take a mental break.

"We don't want to stop playing now after putting together a streak but it's just the schedule we've got and we have to deal with it," he said. "We need to push ourselves in practice and just focus on Manchester. But we're in a nice rhythm now and you'd hope that won't change even with 18 days off, as long as we keep the same mindset."

The Scotland international will switch sides tonight to help Falkirk Fury clinch the Scottish League title with a win over the Rocks B team at the Mariner Centre.

But with Sterling Davis' men still holding out hope of catching Cheshire for fourth over the final six weeks of the league campaign, Bunyan concedes there is one aspect of their approach that needs to stay constant.

"After we lost to Plymouth, we had an hour-long talk about how we needed to improve," he said. "And it all came down to playing better defence. That's been our main focus. But how our bench has contributed has also been a factor. On any given night now, at least one of us is stepping up."
