Burns has heard it all before as Walsh claims he can 'exploit weaknesses'

LIAM WALSH, the Norfolk boxer charged with the task of ending Ricky Burns' reign as the World Boxing Organisation lightweight champion, managed to sound upbeat yesterday when assessing his prospects.

The 26-year-old from Cromer went as far as to warn Burns to expect the worst when the rivals met to promote their December 15 bout at London's EcCel Arena. How much of it was purely bluster on the part of the challenger remains to be seen, but Walsh can point to impressive credentials to back up his claim that he will succeed in doing what his compatriot Kevin Mitchell and six others failed to achieve.
