MURRAYFIELD'S Bruce Mouat can no longer reach tomorrow's final after losing 7-6 to Swede Fredrik Nyman at the World Junior Championships in Tallinn last night.
Victory would have kept Mouat's title hopes alive, but Nyman beat him 7-5 in Thursday's round robin encounter, and he had his number again in another nail-biting battle. Nyman led 6-1 at the halfway stage yet was clinging on at the end as Mouat launched a spirited fightback.
The Scottish junior champion will have to content himself with a place in the bronze medal match.
