Kirby marks exit with Kelso win

PHIL Kirby, due to move to Kate Walton's Middleham yard on January 1, saddled a farewell winner from his current Castleton base when Stopped Out won the Cash For Kids Handicap Hurdle at Kelso yesterday.

"My first runners from the new yard will be at Catterick on New Year's Day," Kirby said.

Talkin Sence landed the Timeform Race Passes Handicap Hurdle by 12 lengths for Borders pair Stuart Coltherd and Gary Rutherford.
