Racing: Dettori in high demand at Newmarket

SINCE his split from the Godolphin operation the other day, Frankie Dettori's life has change dramatically, but the popularity of the little Italian jockey seems undiminished and he has a full book of rides at New-market this afternoon, all for different trainers.

Two of his mounts are for former employers Godolphin, the Saeed bin Suroor-trained Ikhtisas (3.40) and Mahmood Al Zarooni's Quintilian in the last.

Dettori already has been touted as a contender for next year's jockeys' cham-pionship and his imminent availability has swiftly been picked up by the training fraternity.
