A THIRD victory over the Czech Republic in three days was never in any real doubt for Scotland's women after a fierce strike by Kareena Marshall went in off a defender in only two minutes into the final Test at Glasgow Green.
Sarah Robertson contrived to miss an open goal from close range soon afterwards but the Scots' second goal was only slightly delayed, Aileen Davis sending a set-piece strike wide of the goalkeeper and into the net.
Gordon Shepherd's charges created few chances during the rest of the half of a match that formed part of the International Hockey Festival although Marshall did send a shot well over the bar.
Early in the second half Marshall initiated and finished a move that also involved Nicki Skrastin to add a third to the Scots' tally.
The tenacity of Louise Campbell almost added a fourth, but she had two shots saved by the goalkeeper and her third effort went wide.
However, Scotland increased their lead again when Vikki Bunce waltzed past two defenders, made space for herself and sent a fierce reverse stick shot into the net.
As the Czechs tired, Campbell made it 5-0 from a narrow angle, then Bunce guided a goalbound shot from Nikki Lloyd over the line from a couple of inches out.
Shepherd, the Scotland coach, said: "I'm happy with the overall performance over the three games. We scored 18 goals and didn't concede. Now move on to the next stage in the build-up for the Europeans.
