Stephen Maguire won his all-Scottish encounter with Jamie Burnett 6-3 at the International Championships in Chengdu yesterday.
The China Open runner-up, who will now face the man who beat him in that event, Peter Ebdon, was in fine form as he racked up scores of 73, 93, 102 and 118.
"I felt a lot of pressure because I've been here a few days, it's along way from home and you don't want to go out early," said Maguire.
