Third stage win for Millar

SCOTLAND'S David Millar claimed victory in stage 12 of the Tour de France yesterday, holding off Jean-Christophe Peraud (Ag2r-La Mondiale) to take the win, writes Susan Swarbrick.

The Garmin-Sharp rider played a clever cat and mouse game with the young Frenchman in the final kilometres before sprinting to the line to take his third ever Tour stage win on the 45th anniversary of British cyclist Tom Simpson's death.
